I think MG's dress would look worlds better if those silly pink things slithering down the front of it were taken off and turned into a sash or skirt trim.  Or just plain taken off.  (Seriously, anyone know the story about what AG was thinking with that design?)

My guess is that the pink things were supposed to be panels of ruching or shirred fabric (it shows up more in the book illustrations), but they cheaper out and made them flat.

Here she is on a train in some thrift store clothes we picked up along the way.

Here's what I steal: people shoes from my daughter, doll things from both my kids, and sewing supplies from my mom. I might steal your craft ideas, too.

See why I've made my Addy a queen? As soon as I saw the Elizabeth Meet I knew it belonged to her.
Pink or blue dresses, even casual ones, seem to bring out the best in her. Bright pink should not be combined with blonde in most circumstances.

Whoa. Those are the exact pants Yolandi was performing in last week! I like the way Addy looks in that tunic too.

I had to look her up before realizing I've seen her on the internet. Thanks for the reminder. And that's funny about the pants. Soon after this photo, my daughter ended up quickly changing Addy into (my/my mother's version of) her meet outfit when a random lady became interested in the doll and I started talking about the history, the books, etc. I'm pretty sure we created a convert to (the Ebay version of) AG shopping. The lady, and a couple of others, was initially impressed that Addy could stand on the platform.
