18th century stay by Thimbles and Acorns- Pic Heavy

I won this stay from Thimbles and Acorns by commenting on her newsletter. It is a prototype for her new pattern, 18th Century Underpinnings, sold at Pixie Faire.

Therefore, I am completely biased.

When I looked up the link to the pattern, I see that I actually put the stays on Lissie backwards for these pictures. At the expense of revealing my ignorance, I don't want to do another photo shoot and get eaten alive by mosquitoes again.

I don't have a lot of commentary, really. I just want to share lots of pictures for anyone considering this pattern.
The stays are really gorgeously made. It would be a complicated pattern to make, I think. But the result is gorgeous.

For contrast, here are Felicity's underthings made by the Pleasant Company.

The elastic on her shift gave out years ago, please ignore. And I'd love to buy new stockings for her.

Here are the stays made by Thimbles and Acorns.

You can see it isn't quite wide enough, as she is a PC doll. It'd be a perfect fit on a Mattel doll. The gap doesn't bother me.

And one inside-out picture, to show off the details.

It's beautiful! I love the colors! It does seem pretty complicated, but then again I do not sew--I'm so glad you won since it looks lovely on your Felicity!

I am thinking it is probably within my skill set, but beyond my patience. Heh heh.
